TACOMA FUJI RECORDS
SPACE ECHO MOLAM DUB BAND Tee

An original Japanese-made body featuring a thick body that feels good on the skin and a binder neck.

Around 2010, I became fascinated with the black market that appeared only in the early morning in the vacant lots in the back alleys of Worachak, a local area in Bangkok's Chinatown.
At the market, Thai people who had no idea how they made a living gathered with their junk and lined it up on the ground to sell.
Among them was a large quantity of old Thai records for sale, the mystery of how an old woman who was always there managed to get there, and it became a daily routine for me on the weekends to listen to every record that caught my eye until the police showed up to the market and busted me (it was just a formality, but the police were in on it).
Many of the old Thai records, like Jamaican and Indian records, were in poor condition, and it was not uncommon to find records without jackets or with labels peeling off, so I became engrossed in record hunting, which felt like a treasure hunt. One time I found a 7-inch record by a band called "SPACE ECHO MOLAM DUB BAND (สเปซ เอคโค่ หมอลำ ดับ แบนด์)."
However, there was no jacket and no details were known, so I named it that.
I became obsessed with the dub-processed Mo Lam (หมอลำ) that seems to use Space Echo, like King Tubby, Prince, Jammy & Scientist.
Mor Lam is a traditional music from Laos and Isan (northeastern Thailand).
I became fascinated with the exotic and eccentric sound, which mixed a unique rhythm and the melody of the traditional flute called the khen (แคน) with a mysterious and quirky melody reminiscent of YAMASUKI, produced by Daniel Vanguard, father of DAFT PUNK's Thomas, and I still spend my days searching for it, relying on the faint illustration on the label of a samurai holding a khen instead of a matchlock gun.
This T-shirt is a bootleg T-shirt made by Groupie (a fanatical follower) and designed by MOOLA from Yanggao, who claims to be the biggest fan of "SPACE ECHO MOLAM DUB BAND (สเปซ เอคโค่ หมอลำ ดับ แบนด์)," a band whose era, label name, and even official band name are unknown.

MOOLA / Owner of Muratai Curry Restaurant "Yangao".
He was transferred to Bangkok, Thailand as a graphic designer and spent six and a half years living abroad. During that time, he found it interesting to think about what kind of expression he should have as a Japanese person living in Thailand, and to look at it from the perspective of a foreigner visiting Japan. He continues to cook Thai curry every day at Yanggao, which he runs, while also working as a designer and DJ.

TACOMA FUJI RECORDS / Tacoma Fuji Records is a T-shirt label started with the aim of turning "non-existent music merchandise" into products.
Artists and designers from Japan and abroad create artwork that includes profiles and stories of musicians who do not exist.

In recent years, the scope of their activities and the products they develop have become more diverse, and in addition to releasing T-shirts, they have also collaborated with real musicians, artists, and apparel brands, and even produced T-shirts for beer bars, working borderlessly between fashion, culture, and "ordinary life."
